The highly anticipated trailer for Ay Yapım’s international historical drama El Turco, starring global sensation Can Yaman, has finally been unveiled! This six-episode series promises a thrilling blend of history, action, adventure, and romance, bringing to life an unforgettable story from the Ottoman Empire.
A Janissary’s Tale in the Heart of Italy
In El Turco, Can Yaman takes on the role of Hasan Balaban, an Ottoman Janissary wounded during the Siege of Vienna (1683). Left behind in the Italian Alps, Hasan ends up in the small village of Moena, earning the nickname “El Turco” from the villagers.
The story follows Hasan’s rise as a hero among the locals as he leads a rebellion against the oppressive taxes imposed by feudal lords. His charisma and bravery transform him into a legendary figure whose name is passed down through generations.

Based on the novel El Turco – The Unknown Aspects of the Second Siege of Vienna by Orhan Yeniaras, the series boasts a world-class creative team:
